SUMMARY:Raymond J. Moran
DESCRIPTION:Raymond-Moran \nUS Army \nRaymond J. Moran\nRay passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at Bridgeport Hospital on June 3\, 2019\, after a short illness. Ray was born in Milford Connecticut\, where he lived most of his life. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 57 years\, Nancy “Kitty” Moran.  Nancy lovingly cared for him for the last eight years. Together they raised three wonderful children\, Karen McAndrew and her husband Bill of Milford\, Sheila Hahn and her husband Tom of Derby\, and Kyle Moran and his wife Lucy of Wallingford\, His grandchildren\, who loving referred to him as “Poppy” – Zach and Joshua Hahn\, Margaret McAndrew\, and Maeve and Nora Moran\, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother  Hon. John Moran of Milford and Mary Moran of West Haven. He was predeceased by his parents Catherine R. Moran and James F. Moran.  His sisters\, Catherine Boyhan\, Barbara MacAllister and brother James Moran. \nRay’s outgoing and happy personality lead him in many directions throughout his life. He loved everyone he met\, and always left them with a smile.  Ray graduated from Milford High School in 1958 and went on to Fairfield University. He continued his studies at the University of New Haven\, and the University of Michigan Executive Business School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserve from 1960-1966. Ray worked for Raybestos Manhattan\, and managed many different plants. His favorite assignment was the opportunity to take his family to Ireland for two years while he managed The Raybestos Manhattan factory there. Ray loved his time in Ireland\, and enjoyed spending time with friends\, singing Irish songs and drinking a beer at the local pub. Ray was involved in Ireland as Scout Leader\, in the States as Junior Achievement Counselor\, and The American Society for Quality Control.  Ray loved to travel with is family and took them on many adventures during his 78 years of life. \nRay was a loving father and grandfather\, and deeply enjoyed spending time with his family. He could be often found supporting one of his five grandchildren at a school play\, softball game\, cheer competition\, or football game with a big smile on his face. He will be greatly missed. May God hold him in the palm of His hand. \nA Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday\, June 7\, 2019 at 12 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church\, 600 Jones Hill Rd.\, West Haven\, CT (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at King’s Highway Cemetery\, Cherry St.\, Milford\, CT. Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday\, June 6\, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME\, 107 Broad St.\, Milford\, CT. \nLegionnaires  meet at 11:30 \n

SUMMARY:Daniel Damicis
DESCRIPTION:Damicis-Daniel \nDaniel Damicis\, passed away on June 1\, 2019\, at his home in Milford with his wife Ardienne by his side. Born in West Haven on June 14\, 1926\, he would have been 93 on Flag Day. He was a son of the late Pasquale and Mary (Polino) Damicis. After graduating from West Haven High School in 1944\, he entered the Army and served in Europe during the World War II in the 99th and 1st Infantry Divisions until his discharge in 1946. He attended UConn and received his law degree from Boston University in 1954. After passing the CT and MA Bar Exams\, he practiced law in West Haven for over 40 years. He was predeceased by his brothers Louis\, Albert\, Philip and William\, and sisters Marie and Julia. He is survived by his sister Diane\, his sisters-in-law Helen and Annabelle\, and numerous nieces and nephews. Thank you to Constellation Hospice for providing his care. Special thanks to Susan\, Ginger\, Cindy and Josh. Thank you also to the many neighbors and friends who have helped during the past few months. Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home\, 135 Broad St.\, Milford from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday\, June 6\, 2019. Burial at a later date will be in Watertown\, CT. DESCRIPTION:Paul-ErlacherJr \nPaul Francis Erlacher\, Jr.\, (Bud) 96\, of Milford\, beloved husband of Lesley (Field) Erlacher\, entered eternal rest on May 30\, 2019\, surrounded by his caring and loving family. He was born on December 11\, 1922 in Milford to the late Paul F. and Margaret Catherine (Maher) Erlacher\, Sr. \nPaul proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army/Air Force; as a Sergeant in the Medic Corps. He was a charter member of the American Legion Post 196. Paul held degrees from both Quinnipiac University and University of Bridgeport. He was a local business owner selling real estate and insurance. In his retirement years\, he worked as a part time security guard at Milford Jai Alai. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church and will be greatly missed by all. \nIn addition to his loving wife\, Lesley\, Paul is survived by his children\, Reed (Leigh) Erlacher\, Lesley (Sam) Salokas\, Lisa (Ron) Jovanelly\, and Laura Erlacher; his grandchildren\, Dr. Claire Erlacher-Reid\, Lesley Dieffenbacher\, Denis Salokas\, Amy and Beth Jovanelly\, and Eric\, Nicole and Megan Gossett; his great grandchildren\, Sarah Flaws\, Liam and Emily Dieffenbacher\, and Elena and Isabella Salokas. In addition to his parents\, Paul was predeceased by his son\, Paul F. Erlacher\, III\, and by his brother\, Graham Erlacher. \nA Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday\, June 5\, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church\, 71 River St.\, Milford\, CT (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Burial with Military Honors will be private. In lieu of flowers\, memorial donations may be made to Saint Peter’s Church for their local mission/outreach programs within the community.

DESCRIPTION:Richard W. Frye\, age 68 of West Haven\, passed away April 16\, 2019 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Richard was born in Milford\, July 7\, 1950\, son of the late George and Claire Thibault Frye. Richard served in the Army National Guard and later became the owner\, operator\, and mechanic of Meineke of Milford. Richard was an active member of the Moose Lodge\, where he held the title of President of the Connecticut State Moose Association.\nHe is survived by his sons Jonathan and David (Dana) Frye\, his grandchildren Aurora\, Brayden\, and Hailey Frye\, his brother George Frye (Carol)\, and nieces and nephews Gregrey\, Kristina\, Kimberly and the late Goeff.\nCalling hours will be held Monday\, April 22\, 2019 from 4pm to 8pm at Smith Funeral Home\, 135 N. Broad St.\, Milford. On Tuesday April 23\, 2019 his funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30am for a graveside service at St. Mary Cemetery\, Milford to be held at 11am. DESCRIPTION:Stephen D. Fricke\, age 70\, of Milford passed away peacefully on Tuesday\, April 16\, 2019 at the West Haven Veteran’s Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Susan Fricke.  Stephen was born in New Haven\, Connecticut on August 24\, 1948 to the late Leonard and Alice (Downey) Fricke. \nHe served his country faithfully for 11 years in the U.S. Air Force.  After finishing his service\, he worked as a Pressman in the printing industry for 36 years.  Stephen was a train enthusiast\, both model and full size.  He was also involved in racing a model stock car for many several years and later going to classic cruises and car shows with his 1970 VW Beetle.  He enjoyed watching Nascar and playing computer games.  Stephen was a member of the American Legion of Milford Post 0196. \nHe is survived by his brother-in-law Harry (Adele) Finer\, two nieces Lori (Jimmy) Grant and Kara Rogers\, three nephews\, Leonard (Christine) Fricke\, Jeffrey (Linda) Fricke\, Timothy Fricke\, five great nephews\, three great nieces\, one great great niece\, Aunt Mary Downey\, several cousins and his two cats Annie and Dorie. Steve was predeceased by one brother\, William E.
